I love getting Christmas Cards. It is the only time of year when I actually check my mail regularly.
The cards with pictures are special. Before Thanksgiving I clear off my fridge and put all the pictures from last year away in anticipation of getting new pictures. New pictures are immediately posted on the fridge. For some of the children in my life who live far away, this is how I watch them grow. I know what my friends look like in spite of years and distance separating us. And I have a very interesting fridge to look at every day!
I haven't sent a Christmas card in over 10 years. For all my joy in getting them I can't seem to be able to send them out. This seems inherently unfair. I love hearing about all my friends but I don't reciprocate. Okay. I haven't been able to get myself over the brick wall I've built about actually sending cards. So here is a solution that might be workable. I've started this blog. I want it to be my way of sharing the adventures of my life. For those of you with fridges like mine, I'm sorry. If you want to add a picture of me, you will have to print it off the blog.
Happy reading.
